Use

Widely used as raw material for various polymers.

Preparation

Add 0.2 mol of diethyl sebacate to a mixture of 0.816 mol of 85% hydrazine hydrate and 50 ml of anhydrous ethanol within 1.5 hours,
keep the feeding temperature at about 70°C, then react at 75°C for 4 hours, and then cool to 5°C to obtain 42
grams of sebacic acid dihydrazide,the melting point of the product is 185°C, and the yield is about 91.3% (based on ester).
