2-Amino-3-hydroxypyridine is an off-white to brown powder at room temperature and pressure, and has a certain alkalinity.
It is insoluble in water, but has good solubility in alcoholic organic solvents and can also be dissolved in highly polar dimethyl sulfoxide.

Chemical Reaction

The structure of 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine contains a pyridine ring unit, active hydroxyl and amino structures,
and has good chemical reaction activity. Under alkaline conditions, both hydroxyl and amino groups can act as nucleophiles to
attack the halogen atoms in alkyl Chemicalbook halides, resulting in nucleophilic substitution reactions.

the halogen in the alkyl halide is replaced by an amino group or a hydroxyl group to form a new chemical bond.
